Account Registration emails for the Agari portal are sent out via the Mandrill email platform. If the initial delivery attempt receives a hard-bounce, then the Mandrill system will not process additional attempts to address for a period of time. This can be an issue if you are trying to register an Agari portal account for an address that doesn't currently exist in your organization.
For example, if you wish to use an email address created specifically to be used to login into the Agari portal, like agariadmin@mydomain.com as opposed to using an individual user's email address, then you need to make sure that the address is accepted as valid in your mail platform before creating the user account.
The address also needs to be accepted by any security services that may perform an address validation check before it even reaches your mail platform. For example, if you use the Symantec Email Security Cloud service (MessageLabs), there is an Address Registration feature that is designed to refuse any emails sent addresses that are not specifically registered as valid recipients. The address must be added to the Address Registration list in the Symantec portal at least 1 hour prior to creating the user account in the Agari portal.
If there is an issue and the initial registration email is hard-bounced, it may be a number of days before the Mandrill platform will allow the emails to be resent to that address. If you suspect this may be an issue please email support@agari.com. Our support team can confirm the results of the delivery attempts for the registration emails, and can request the address to be cleared from the delivery block list so a redelivery attempt can be made from the portal.
